There are a few things about this outfit that feel classically Sarah, with a bit of ’90s revival for good measure. The denim jacket with flair, the skater dress, the clogs, the saddle bag, the brownish matte lip…okay, it’s pretty ’90s.

Is it weird that this outfit came together around my pin? It was a free gift that came with my new Chewbacca camera bag, and I love it (close up here). Turns out that BB-8 makes for a great conversation starter, and fashion inspiration. Pining it on my denim jacket seemed like common sense, and then the orange led me to my peach dress, and here we are.

I felt super myself in this outfit. It’s comfy and casual, but still feminine. My clogs are my favorite shoes and always make me feel extra confident. There’s a lot of color — the dress, the denim, the moss green bag, the turquoise earrings — but it’s not overwhelming. Hopefully it’s modern enough, and not a total ripoff on my first decade.

Anyone else playing around with the ’90s “trend”? I don’t think I’m ready to pull out a choker just yet, but any excuse to rock my pin and clogs is okay with me!
