Trailer Tuesday: Creed

While everyone is freaking out over the Suicide Squad trailer, I’m just going to think about a world without superheroes and supervillians…unless you count boxers.

I love Michael B. Jordan (he’s one of the second-generation stars on one of my favorite shows, Friday Night Lights), and I’m glad he’s getting a role that’s both meaty and mainstream. (You might also recognize him from the indie Fruitvale Station or the new Fantastic Four reboot.)

Also, let’s be honest, the trailer makes Michael B. and Philly look good.

Dig this: easy in-flight beauty treatments, so you can actually feel and look refreshed after traveling!

I’m still making my way through a rewatch of Gilmore Girls (while listening to the Gilmore Guys podcast), so of course I appreciate these life lessons from the show.

What you need to know about the Humane Cosmetics Act.

Who should play Han Solo in the new Star Wars spinoff? (My answer: no one, because this shouldn’t be allowed to happen.)

Love Kimi’s subtly patriotic outfit — we definitely had the same idea last week!

Trailer Tuesday: Escobar: Paradise Lost

Escobar: Paradise Lost is premiering this week in a limited run, despite the first trailers being released almost a year ago. It’s a fictionalized portrayal on Pablo Escobar, an infamous Colombian drug lord, from the perspective of Nick, an ex-pat surfer who falls in loves with Escobar’s niece. It appears to be nearly entirely fictionalized, but that doesn’t mean the movie won’t be interesting (some reviews are very promising).

I’ll most likely watch this once it’s On-Demand or on Netflix. If you want to learn about the real Pablo Escobar, I recommend watching the ESPN documentary The Two Escobars, which is streaming on Netflix.
