I hope everyone had a great weekend! Enjoy this week’s Link Love.

This is one post every girl should read: remember, start a revolution and stop hating your body.

From Très Sugar, quick ways to avoid burning out this summer.

After the Russian spy scandal broke, The Frisky put together a list of real-life Bond Girls.

An excellent Polyvore tutorial from Michelle at Locked Out. Look for Polyvore sets in an upcoming post!

Searching for a new blog? This week I’ll be updating my friend Bruno’s blog: Some Here, There, and Nowhere. He has some pretty interesting stuff coming up, so be sure to check it out.

Calling all Harry Potter Fan Girls: you can make your own Hogwarts Student and play dress up here. There’s even a Sorting quiz! Apparently, I’m a Hufflepuff.

Is there any resemblance?

Video Love

Can we please discuss how epic Ben Affleck’s new movie, The Town, looks? The cast is solid, plus Gone Baby Gone and The Departed are two enthralling movies in their own right. Take a look:

Yesterday was my roommate Juliane’s 19th Birthday! One of her favorite movies is the 80’s classic Dirty Dancing. Check out the cheesy trailer- it’s hysterical. Don’t worry though, the movie is a lot better.

My very cool and talented friend Isabela makes stop-motion animation movies. “Eraser Critters” is my favorite, but she has more playing on her Youtube Channel.

Which links do you love this week?

You’re Going Places: Blog Award

Last weekend, I got my first blog award from my friend, Gracey. You should definitely check out her blog at Breakfast at Gracey’s. Thanks again Gracey!

The rules are:
1. Describe where you think you’ll be in 10 years.
2. Pass the fun along to 10 other bloggers.

1. Ten years from now, I’ll be 29 and panicking about turning 30. (Wow, scary.) Hopefully, I’ll be living in a major American city with public transportation (and yes, that’s important). I’ll live in an apartment and have a shelter dog or two. I’ll be a sports anchor at one of the local television stations and I’ll be covering the 2020 Olympics.

2. I’m not even sure I read ten blogs on a regular basis but here it goes:

– Audrey from At Auds

– Courtney from Blog By Courtney: Chronicle of a Graduation Foretold

– Kaleigh and company from Every College Girl

– Ashley and Becca from Free Honey

– Jenna at Lipstick, Lies, and Learning

– Michelle from Locked Out

– Hannah from Mademoiselle

– Stephanie from Mi Colombia

– Luiane from More Magic Always

– Lindsey from Two Birds

Wow, so that was hard. Don’t forget to check out my blogroll for more great reads! Hope everyone had a happy Tuesday!

P.S. I’d love to hear where you all think you’ll be in 10 years.

Blogs Go Green

I usually don’t post on the weekends, but I’m excited to share that Shades of Sarah is now carbon neutral! I first heard about the Machs Grün (“Make it Green”) initiative from my friend Gracey’s post. I think it’s a great idea.  Every time you visit a website, 0.2g (0.0008 oz.) of carbon dioxide are produced. According to the website, that adds up to 8 lb. of carbon dioxide a year! The program “My blog is green” plants one tree, which absorbs 11 lb. of carbon dioxide, per blog to offset these emissions.

The trees are planted in Northern California’s Plumas National Forest. If you’re a blogger too, find out how you can join!
