Printed dress with brown clutch and black clogs | Shades of Sarah

Oh hey, it’s my face! It’s only been like a few months since my last outfit post, no biggie. This is what happens when your life is all over the place/you use your computer to stream the Olympics. Also, can we give a round of applause to the American women for bringing home some serious hardware? #girlpower

This dress was definitely the best $9.99 I ever spent on an impulse purchase. It works for so many occasions and for every season. This time I dressed it up a little for a nice dinner out (at Lloyd Whiskey Bar for my Philly people) and emphasized the neutral colors with a faux leather clutch and my new t-strap clogs (!!). I almost never get to take my clutches out for a spin (how do you fit everything in them??), so this was a big occasion.

Also, I never mix brown and black accessories and shoes, but I don’t hate it! I know it seems everyone is super into neutrals lately, but it’s usually not my style. For now, this is the best I can do: black, with brown and green and orange and tan and teal… and so on. Hey, at least this dress matches almost everything?

P.S. Full disclosure: My clutch is actually an e-reader case from Five Below. Don’t be afraid to get creative when you shop. I still don’t think that’s why I can’t fit everything in it.
