Clogs for the Summer

After buying this sweater and jeans back in March, this has become my go-to spring outfit. Now that it’s starting to warm up a bit (again…the warmest week of the year was the first week of March!) I can trade my ankle boots for my clogs. I bought them almost two years ago, marked down and abandoned in a corner of an Old Navy, and they’re still going strong.

While I love wearing my clogs with sundresses, it’s also fun to mix it up and dress up jeans with them. To add some contrast to this monochrome base, I added this tiny crossbody my brother picked up while visiting our dad in Costa Rica. I’m not usually one for print mixing, but I think this works because it’s a small dose in similar colors. Oh, and did I mention that floral print fabric is built into the sweater? Already-layered sweaters are my new secret weapon.

I didn’t want to overdo it with the accessories, but I had to add some dainty gold rings. A chunky gold watch would have also been a fun addition.

Oh, and in more clog-related news, I teamed up with my fellow Philly girl Chelsea from Organized Mess to style these clogs. Hers are this year’s black version, and I would have them in my closet if they weren’t sold out already. I love how even though our outfits have similar elements — skinny jeans, clogs, crossbody bags — they came out super different and very reflective of our own personal styles.

Be sure to let us know how you wear your clogs (Priya is a master and has both black and brown clogs), and let us know what piece we should style next!
