After making the rounds on the film festival circuit, Sons of Ben: The Movie will make its Philadelphia premiere. I have a soft spot for sports documentaries, so I’m excited about this one. It follows a group of local soccer fans who banded together to bring an MLS team to the city. It was a new phenomenon back in 2006, and now we have the Philadelphia Union to cheer on. (Meanwhile, David Beckham and Miami soccer fans are still looking for a stadium site for the city’s next soccer team. One day.)
