Sometimes, I feel like the New Year doesn’t really start until the spring does.
And I think it’s time. The snow is melting. The sun is shining. The temperatures hit 50 (!).
Finally.
Two-ish months into 2015, two words have become my mantra of sorts: trust and push. They don’t seem like they’d work together, right? So far, so good, though.
Trust. Trusting myself and my capabilities. I may not know it all, but I know I enough for now. I need to learn to trust my instincts, whether it’s in a game of Quizzo (I always go with the team instead of my gut once a game) or the bigger, life-changing decision stuff.
Push. Knowing there is still plenty to learn — and it’s up to me to get there. I don’t think a person’s work is ever done, at least when it comes to improving oneself. Why settle? (Eating at Wendy’s when you want Shake Shack is one thing, but in the long run, settling won’t make you happy.)
Do you have any words or mantras motivating you through the year? It’s not too late — with the new season around the corner, it’s actually the perfect time for some change.
