Two weeks ago, I teamed up with Katie to co-host a Skirt Week challenge. I’ve never even done a wardrobe challenge, so it was as fashion-y as my blog has ever been. (Also, those of you who post outfit photos every weekday, how?!)
Usually I’m a jeans-and-tee girl, so I actually learned a few things about my personal style by restricting my wardrobe options:
- I rely on prints more than I thought! Four out of my five outfits featured a print either in the skirt or top, and the exception featured an embroidered top instead.
- I apparently have some sort of aversion to accessories — even though I have so much jewelry! I’m thinking this why I use prints and/or bright colors instead.
- I like blues and purples…
- I tend to favor bohemian and preppy elements, which is something I never would’ve expected a few years ago! A little bit of stripes and navy, with some lace, embroidery and “global prints.”
What lessons have you learned about your personal style recently?
