Button-down – Burlington (similar); Skirt – Body Central; Shoes – Old Navy (similar).
So far during Skirt Week (don’t miss Day 1 and Day 2!), I haven’t been showing off any never-before-seen skirts. In a way though, that’s what makes skirts so awesome: they’re perfect for mixing and matching! With dresses, I often feel like you have to really on layering to make them new again, but with skirts, add a different top and boom, whole new look.
The first time I showed off this fun skirt, I dressed it down in a tee and sneakers. I wanted to dress it up a little bit this time, though I hesitate to call this look work-appropriate because of the length (if I had this skirt, I feel like it would be fine for a business casual office).
Also, pro tip: if you want to be really picky while clothes shopping, wear a button-down. It’ll make you think twice whether that one blouse is worth trying on because it’ll be so much effort. No matter though, I really love this print and after buying this button-down way back in February, I’m glad to finally show it off!
