Skirt Week is here!! You know, like Shark Week, but hopefully less traumatizing to its audience.
My first outfit is this rather classic look (at least in my opinion): a navy, pleated midi skirt and printed tank top (last seen here for a slightly better look at the fleur-de-lis detail). I love the look and the weight of this skirt, but boy does it wrinkle (these photos were taken right after I ironed it!). Also, ironing pleats is a headache.
Anyway. I wore this outfit (full disclosure: with sandals instead of wedges) to a picnic with a friend in Old City. I am declaring midi skirts the ideal piece for a picnic: you don’t have to worry about them riding down (like jeans or shorts) or flashing someone (like shorter dresses or skirts) and they can hide any Wawa roll-induced food baby.
Oh, and you’ll feel pretty chic, so that’s cool too. Oh and you want to join our Skirt Week linkup? Even cooler.
