*It’s been ages since I’ve written a proper “Girl Crush” post, but I figure the Oscars are as good as time as any to bring the series back, even though Mila Kunis was snubbed this year.
Mila Kunis was born in Ukraine during the Cold War, and she and her family immigrated to the U.S. when she was a young girl. She began acting when she was still in elementary school, and by the time she was fourteen she was cast on the sitcom That ’70s Show. Mila’s character Jackie is one of my favorites, even though she’s spoiled and superficial. As if that doesn’t prove Mila is a funny chick, she’s also the voice of Meg Griffin, the ultimate awkward middle child, in the animated sitcom Family Guy.
Mila’s career has been picking up on the big screen too. She starred in Forgetting Sarah Marshall with Jason Segel, and a couple action movies, proving that she can kick butt too. Now, Mila is enjoying the success of her biggest role to date, Lily in Black Swan. Critics and audiences alike have praised her dramatic turn, and she was nominated for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actor Guild award in the supporting categories.
Despite the success and attention, Mila has stayed grounded, and she just seems like the coolest girl ever in interviews. Funny, talented, and absolutely stunning, Milla is a star worth looking out for.
Are you guys fans of Mila? Which of characters are your favorite?
