Late last night, countless of us were witnesses to the power of the human spirit. After spending nearly seventy days about half a mile underground , the rescue of the Chilean miners began. While the accident at the mine should have never happened, it is still a testament of strength that these thirty-three miners were able to persevere through it. Much will be written in the next few days and so on about this monumental event, but it really is something to celebrate. Like many people, this moment stood out to me last night. Even in the most extenuating circumstances, laughter is the best medicine.
What do you think? Have you guys been watching this modern miracle unfold?
