Whoa! Two posts in one day? Yes, but don’t get too excited. This is just a quick post and my first attempt at an outfit post. I’ve been thinking of doing these for a bit, since I always get such positive feedback on my fashion posts. Today I got compliments on my outfit and was feeling lazy so I figured, why not start now? Honestly though, I don’t know how you fashion bloggers do it. Serious props. Taking your own pictures (especially with a webcam) is super awkward and I couldn’t help but feel self-conscious.
Moving on…
Today was very wet and windy and overall miserable Monday in the city. That being said, I need to wear something comfortable but still practical for the elements. This may just be my new go-to rainy day outfit. (Please excuse the mess, it’s not even my side of the room, promise!)
Pink Top with Zipper Embellishment- JcPenny; Denim Shorts- Thrifted; Striped Glitter Tights- Target; Pink and Black Rainboots- JcPenny; Hair- Frizzy.
I had a pretty busy day, but nothing too overwhelming. Then again I’m blogging to procrastinate my homework, so that may change. I had two classes in the late morning and then had a chance to relax in the afternoon before working at our campus television station.
In the evening, I watched a screening of the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary The Two Escobars. It was absolutely incredible, and very emotional for me. The film discusses the lives of the drug lord Pablo Escobar and Colombian soccer superstar Andrés Escobar. Both men were from the city of Medellín, and their lives were intertwined in a way that’s hard to explain. You learn more about the film here.
Tomorrow is kind of a longer day, and it starts at 8:30 in the morning. The good thing is that I’ll be in the classes I look forward to. The bad news is that I’ll be on a media fast. It’s an assignment for my intro to comm class. Yeah, we’ll see how well a college-aged blogger fares without texting, e-mail, Twitter, or Facebook for a day. Do you guys think I can do it?
